I am fortunate to live in the Vale of York and only a few miles from the Hambleton Hills which at 900 feet give splendid views to the south and west across Yorkshire. And on a bright and sunny day like today here is the evidence.
Sutton Bank is a popular place for gliders which are towed or winched skywards to soar on the thermals.
The White Horse above the village of Kilburn is a landmark seen from miles away. Cut into the hillside in 1857 it stands over 200 feet tall and 300 feet long.
Let me know if you enjoyed the view too!
(and I’ll post some more photographs and tell you more)
